Sentiers Wakefield Trails Celebrates the Life of Bob Gibson

​Sentiers Wakefield Trails celebrates the life of Bob Gibson, trail blazer and long time volunteer. The
following is a note from Ken Bouchard, Past President and long-time friend of Bob’s.

Sentiers Wakefield Trails has just lost one of its longest serving volunteers and good friend…

Besides our Village’s trails, he was so involved with many of Wakefield’s icons. The erecting of
Fairbairn’s barn and stage, helping with the new Community Centre, The Dragon Fest, and in recent
years helping with the new Syrians and Ukrainians arriving in Wakefield. And, over the last few years when his health was deteriorating, and there was a general call out for volunteers to come help on Trails, Bob would get in touch with us and say "Is there some light work I can help out with on the Trails?” That was Bob Gibson. I hope there will be lots of trails up in that big sky for Bob to work on, as he helped us over the years.
