Ken and his volunteers have been building and maintaining trails for over 30 years in the Gatineau Hills and both the volunteers and trails are awesome! As a special thanks we donated a Trail Bench in honour of Ken on the Summit Trial at the MacLaren Cemetery Saturday Nov. 26, 2016.
In April 2016, Ken was the recipient of the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers for his Trails leadership and work.
The bench was built by Nick Appleby. The fundraising was lead by Irene Richardson and the donations were from the Wakefield Walkers, Wakefield Nordic Walkers and many friends.
