Spring Trails Cleanup
Saturday April 25

To kick off our 2026 season, we're holding our annual Earth Day spring trail clean up on the morning of Saturday April 25
(Rain day - Sunday the 26th).
Meet at the parking lot of the Centre Wakefield La Pêche,
38 Chem. de la Vall. de Wakefield, at 9:00 am for coffee and muffins then divide into teams for specific jobs from 9:30 to 12:30.

We'll be located in the north-east corner of the parking lot near the skate park and the entrance to the Mill Road Trail. If you can't arrive until later, please come to the rendez-vous spot and one of our folks will direct you to one of our work groups.

If you are able to attend and can let us know by response to this email, that would be great. Please include a cell phone number in your response so we can contact you in case of rain delays or any last minute info.

Volunteer With Us

We are always looking for volunteers! Sentiers Wakefield Trails (SWT) is made up entirely of volunteers – people who love our unique, magnificent Gatineau hills as much as you do.  We meet regularly to clean and build trails.

We Are Pursuing Accessibility

In October 2023, Sentiers Wakefield Trails had the opportunity to be part of an accessibility audit thanks to Trans Canada Trail’s Trail Accessibility Mapping Program. Trans Canada Trails put us in touch with AccessNow, a non-profit organization “building a movement that celebrates access by connecting people to inclusive, welcoming places for all.” AccessNow is also an app and an online map that people with different abilities can use to find out the extent to which trails, buildings or transportation are accessible.
